Taking part in the making of the film Gomorrah, which was released in cinemas exactly 14 years ago, based on one of the most famous and sold books in the last half century, directed by Matteo Garrone, represented for me to start a collaboration with one of the most important , courageous and brilliant directors, the experience was very strong both from a professional and personal and emotional point of view, the contact with characters really present in the reality described in the film gave me the opportunity to test my ability to relate to non-protagonists. actors and to solve, sometimes in an original way, in relation to the make-up, the various unexpected events that have arisen.
A morning we had to turn on the shop that took place in reality on the corridors of the sails, with my make-up bag I walked towards what I thought was the set, when I got to the floor I started waiting for my colleagues, I soon realized that the corridor where I was waiting was instead the real shop area where, as told in the film, the buyers lined up and it was from them that I learned that the set was upstairs. It was my first major film project as a department head and for the first time I understood the enormous responsibility and effort of this role.
